About Drake Siding and Sunrooms
Drake Siding and Sunrooms began over 50 years ago in 1956 when Don F. Drake and his sons, Larry and Bob, started Security Siding Company in Charleston, Illinois.
Originally located at 905 Reynolds Drive, the business operated for the next thirty-two years in a 24′ by 48′ garage-like structure built on the north end of Don’s home.
Larry Drake and his sons, Don L. and Bill, moved the business to Route 16 approximately 2½ miles west of Charleston in 1989.
The new location allows you to look at many different siding and window options and a chance to see real life examples of sunrooms that can be added to your own home.
Larry Drake retired in January of 2002 after 46 years of being in the siding business.
Don Drake, the grandson of Donald F. Drake, is proud to continue the history of serving central Illinois and welcomes you to stop by our showroom and visit us.
